Cleveland Circuits began its journey in 1971, born from a need within our own Group to produce high quality printed circuit boards (PCBs) with exceptional reliability and speed. What started as an in-house solution quickly grew into something much bigger! Demand from other UK manufacturers led us to expand into a purpose built facility in Cleveland (Teesside), setting the stage for over five decades of continuous innovation in PCB design and production.

Through the years our commitment to quality, service, and technical excellence helped Cleveland Circuits to achieve status as one of the UK’s most trusted PCB manufacturers. From early prototypes to complex multi-layer assemblies, we became known for our end-to-end service, offering bare board manufacture, full assembly, and testing, all under one roof.

Evolving with Purpose

By 2020 we recognised the changing landscape of electronics manufacturing. With an increasing demand for populated boards and a growing emphasis on environmental responsibility, we undertook a strategic realignment of our operations.

In early 2020 Cleveland Circuits ceased in-house bare board manufacturing to focus entirely on what our customers valued most, assembly and population of printed circuit boards.

By collaborating with leading UK PCB manufacturers, we ensured that our customers would continue to receive high-quality bare boards while benefiting from our enhanced assembly capabilities and broader product offering. This partnership not only strengthened our supply chain resilience but also led to a 90% reduction in process effluent, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and our environmental policy.

Today Cleveland Circuits stands as a specialist in PCB assembly and population, providing complete turnkey solutions. From sourcing and collaboration with trusted PCB manufacturers, to assembly, testing, and final delivery. We continually invest in our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) capabilities, ensuring our production lines feature the latest, high-speed equipment to deliver exceptional precision and efficiency.

We operate to ISO 9001 standards, achieved JOSCAR certification in 2025, and our technicians are IPC-trained (IPC-A-610) to ensure consistent, repeatable quality. Whether you need short-run prototypes or volume production, we continue to offer the reliability, technical support, and customer care that have defined us since 1971.

Where are you based?

All of our PCB assembly work happens at our purpose-built factory in Skelton, Teesside (formally Cleveland) where our skilled assembly team keeps everything running smoothly. Our Sales, Engineering and Finance teams are based 2 or 3 miles further towards the coast, in Marske-by-the-Sea, together with our sister companies Connect-2 Technology and Weyfringe Barcode & Labelling Systems.

What makes Cleveland Circuits different?

Which industries do you supply to?

Our customers are from all sorts of industries, from automotive and medical to aerospace, defence, and industrial electronics. If you use PCB’s, chances are we’ve made something that fits your world.

Do you only supply UK companies?

Not at all. While we’re proudly British made, we work with customers all over the world. Wherever you’re based, we can deliver quality boards backed by responsive support and clear communication.

Can I come and see your facilities?

Absolutely! We love showing visitors around our factory. We’re particularly proud of our Surface Mount (SMT) facilities. If you’d like to see where your boards are assembled just get in touch to arrange a visit. We’ll be happy to give you a tour.
