General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) Statement of Compliance

The General Data Protection Regulation EU 2016/679 (“GDPR”) is effective from 25th May 2018 across the European Union. Its purpose is to protect the privacy and rights of individuals (e.g. living persons) and ensure that personal data is not processed without their knowledge and where necessary that it is processed with their consent. The GDPR has been designed to meet the requirements of the digital age and allow individuals access and control over their personal information.

Our Compliance

Cleveland Technologies Limited “CTG” is committed to meeting the requirements of the GDPR and we have revised our own internal policies, procedures and services to ensure compliance including but not limited to: Password policy and full implementation, user access level review and limitation for all software and hardware packages, user education and awareness training including data storage, handling and limitation, established processes for data subject access rights and data breaches.

How we use personal data

CTG will collect personal data relating to employees of our customers, suppliers or partners and it will only be processed for the purpose in which it was collected e.g. supply of goods, provision of quotation or service.

The data we collect will usually be limited to:

  • First names and Last names

  • Business address/s and contact telephone number/s

  • Business email address/s 

  • Business information for credit reference agencies

CTG will never share your information to any third party outside of our Group of companies (other than the courier company in the case where goods need to be delivered) without your additional, specific consent.

Where applicable CTG will request consent to process individual’s data. Data given with consent will be filed electronically for 6 years. Where consent is not required, CTG will electronically file your data for 6 years but not further process it unless you request for us to do so or we are legally obliged.

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you by writing to Cleveland Circuits, Wandhills Avenue, Skelton Industrial Estate, North Yorkshire, TS12 2LQ or emailing gdpr@ctecgroup.co.uk. We are obliged by policy to fulfil all such requests within 31 days.

CTG has appointed a Data Protection Officer and all queries relating to GDPR, this statement or any of our internal policies and/or procedures should be directed to the DPO at the above address.

CTG has also appointed two additional Divisional Data Protection Leaders to ensure continuity with compliance across the Group.
